Trunks

Trunks is half Saiyan/half Earthling.  He's Vegeta and Bulma's first born.  We first encounter him as the mysterious youth that takes down Frieza & King Cold in a few measly swings of his sword.  There are two different Trunks---the Trunks from the future and the one from the present.  Their personalities are different and yet somewhat similar.  Future Trunks had a tough life.  He grew up in a world full of sorrow and devastation where Dr. Gero's androids---17 & 18 almost destroyed everything he ever known.  His personality's more serious and more devoted to fighting than his present self.  The present Trunks, when he was little, he was a bit of a trouble maker, getting him and his best friend, Goten into mischief.  Eventually, he grows up and become the next Capsule Corps.' president ironically following in his mother's footsteps even though he hates his job.

Because of the peaceful times on Earth, he loses interest in fighting and stops training.  It wasn't until the whole mess with the Black-star Dragonballs that Vegeta forces him to go into outerspace so he get in at least some type of training. Basically, Trunks a good hearted person.  I think one of the few things he inherited from Vegeta is his strength and maybe a little bit of his temper.  Oh yeah, and they're both adorable.
